A nutrition specialist dedicated to improving health outcomes for Kenya's most vulnerable populations through evidence-based interventions and community-centered approaches.
With over a decade of experience spanning clinical nutrition, public health policy, and community development, Cyril bridges the gap between international best practices and local realities.

Born and raised in Western Kenya, Cyril grew up during the 1997 hunger crisis - when drought and floods disrupted food supplies and left millions hungry. He witnessed firsthand the challenges of food insecurity in rural and urban low-income communities. This early exposure made him reflect on how fragile access to nutrition can be, which sparked a lifelong commitment to improving community health.
After completing his undergraduate studies in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics at the Kenyatta University, Cyril worked with local NGOs implementing community-based public health and nutrition programs. This experience revealed the critical gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in resource-constrained settings.
His experience in ASAL areas (Turkana) focused on maternal and child nutrition in pastoralist communities, leading to innovative approaches that integrate traditional food systems with modern nutritional science. This research has informed national policy and programming across East Africa.
Today, Cyril serves as a technical advisor to multiple organizations while maintaining direct community engagement through field-based programming and Human-Centered Design. His work has reached over 50,000 individuals across 15 counties in Kenya.
